Word of mouth business is great - awesome in fact.
But what happens when that dries up?
What happens when you want to expand?
What happens when you want to stop trading time for money?
You need to find new audiences to connect with on a 'one-to-many' basis. The best way to do that is by offering valuable content that gives people what they want. Built into the content, of course, is also what they need - your brilliance, your expertise and your experience.
But they also need to know that YOU are the right person for them. Why should they trust you? Why should they work with you?
The key is, to tell them a story that resonates....one that has them seeing themselves at the heart of the story...one that elicits emotion. For with emotion comes action.
Facts tell, stories sell.
The three biggest challenges I hear from business owners in relation to content creation are:
- I don't have time
- I don't know what to say
- I have no accountablity
...therefore I just don't do it!
The truth is, that whether you consider yourself a writer or marketer or not, you must produce content for your business on a regular basis so that people know who you are, what you stand for and how you can help them.
If you're not putting out relevant content in relevant places, you do not exist. ~ Gary Vaynerchuk
Those who tell the stories rule the world. ~ Native American Proverb
Marketing is no longer about the stuff that you make, but the stories you tell. ~ Seth Godin
It's not just about the content, it's about the connection. The businesses we feel a connection with, are also the ones where we spend our money. ~ Marie Forleo
The course content will be delivered every Tuesday at 10am AEST. All content sessions will be recorded and made available shortly after the live delivery, so participants have a chance to review the content or catch up if unable to attend live. The course has been valued at over $2000 by course creation experts, but I am making it as affordable as possible - in return for valuable feedback from participants; this way we all grow better together.
